Penn Museum
University facilities in Philadelphia
The Penn Museum, the University of Pennsylvania's museum of archaeology and anthropology, sits at the edge of Penn's campus in University City. Its rental program covers a dedicated Egyptian gallery built around a 12 ton sphinx, offered as a limited-time monumental event space through early 2027, as well as a standing program of named galleries including the Asia Gallery, Coxe Hall, the Sphinx Gallery, Pepper Hall, the Upper Baugh Gallery, Mosaic Hall, and a rooftop terrace, each with its own published seated and standing capacity. The museum's exclusive on-site caterer, Restaurant Associates, handles food and beverage for every booking, and museum security is included as a standard feature of the historic building. Outdoor ceremony space is available in the Warden Garden and Stoner Courtyard. A smaller 'Simple and Sweet' wedding package covers weekday daytime ceremonies for up to 70 guests. The combination of Egyptian, Asian, and Mediterranean antiquities galleries gives each rented space a different backdrop within the same building.
