The Colonial Theatre is a restored 1903 movie palace on Bridge Street in downtown Phoenixville, about 28 miles from Center City Philadelphia in Chester County, and operates today as a nonprofit cinema and live performance venue. Its rental program covers three distinct rooms: the 1902 Theatre, a 658 seat main house with a proscenium stage and both 35mm and digital projection; the White Rabbit Theatre, a smaller flexible room that can host a 100 person event with a dance floor and scattered tables and chairs alongside its retractable stadium seating; and the 65 seat Berry Theatre. A Garden Suite with a wet bar and private bathroom, plus a rooftop terrace looking out over the Gay Street Bridge and North Phoenixville, round out the rental spaces. Wheelchair spaces and transfer seats are built into the main house. The theater continues to run a regular calendar of film screenings and live shows, so rentals share the building with an active public program rather than a dedicated event space alone.
