Barclay Prime is a Stephen Starr steakhouse on 18th Street in Rittenhouse, designed to feel like a European private library with dark wood, marble surfaces, crystal chandeliers and deep banquettes. The restaurant became known citywide for its cheesesteak topped with wagyu beef and lobster, alongside a traditional dry aged steak menu. For private events, Barclay Prime has a dedicated Private Dining Room with audio visual capability that seats guests for formal dinners or hosts standing receptions, plus a semi private lounge available for smaller cocktail style gatherings. The spaces are used for corporate dinners, milestone celebrations and rehearsal dinners that want a steakhouse setting without being on the main floor. Barclay Prime sits a few blocks from Rittenhouse Square, in the same restaurant group as Buddakan, El Vez and Talula's Garden.
