The White Elephant Saloon has operated in the Fort Worth Stockyards since the 1970s and is known as one of the oldest honky tonks in Texas, with an Old West saloon interior. It is owned by Fort Worth chef Tim Love, whose restaurant group also runs several other Stockyards addresses nearby. The saloon books private events including birthdays, bachelorette parties, holiday celebrations and corporate dinners, with a sales and event manager who schedules site visits, negotiates contracts and confirms bookings on a first come, first served basis. Reservations require a signed contract and a 50 percent non-refundable deposit, with rental fees and food and beverage minimums that vary by date and day of the week. The saloon's own site displays photos from past private events it has hosted. Guests must be 21 or older after 7pm, and the building sits directly on Exchange Avenue across from Billy Bob's Texas in the heart of the historic Stockyards district.
