Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center
Concert halls in Dallas
The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's home in the Dallas Arts District, designed by I.M. Pei with acoustics by Russell Johnson, and it rents its concert hall and lobby spaces for private events. The Eugene McDermott Concert Hall seats 1,772 and can host a presentation, screening or performance for a rented audience, while the surrounding Renaissance Foyer spans 24,000 square feet of marble and glass under a 50 foot ceiling for standing receptions and dinners. Four smaller Hart Symphony Suites on the lower level suit board meetings and small private gatherings. The center's in house catering requirement covers all food and beverage, including a full service bar in the west lobby, and its technical staff run sound and lighting for rented events. Past bookings documented on the orchestra's own site include corporate galas, wedding receptions and the symphony's fundraising events styled around seasonal themes. Wheelchair seating and complimentary wheelchairs are available throughout the building.
