The Filter Building on White Rock Lake

A restored 1910s water filtration building sitting directly on the shoreline of White Rock Lake in East Dallas. The nonprofit White Rock Boathouse operates the first and second floors as a roughly 6,000 square foot event space, plus two exterior terraces and a lawn that runs down to the water. Floor to ceiling brick and factory scale windows keep the industrial bones of the building visible while the interior is set up for seated dinners, receptions, and corporate gatherings. The standard rental includes twenty round tables, eight high top tables, six rectangular tables, and two hundred white chairs, with an eight hour rental window covering setup and breakdown. Fire code caps attendance at 200 people, with roughly 165 to 170 when a dance floor is added. FGF Catering is the exclusive food and beverage provider. The venue hosts corporate retreats and conferences throughout the year alongside weddings and private celebrations, and its lakeside terraces are a frequent backdrop for ceremony photos.
