Southside Preservation Hall
Community & recreation halls in Fort Worth
A nonprofit run historic complex in Fort Worth's Southside neighborhood, built from a 1922 hall and a 1955 chapel that the Southside Preservation Association restored for public use. The Grand Ballroom seats up to 180 guests under an eighteen foot ceiling with a built in wet bar, a stage, and a caterer's kitchen with commercial appliances. The Rose Chapel holds 125 guests beneath stained glass rose windows and a vaulted, beamed ceiling built for acoustics, and the adjoining Reception Salon seats 75 more around a fireplace. A stone courtyard planted with antique roses connects the buildings and comes with white chairs included in the rental. Hall Director Matthew Williams oversees the property alongside Executive Director Jeff Gibbons. Beyond weddings and corporate events, the hall runs a regular concert calendar featuring local acts, which keeps its stage and sound systems in working order between private bookings.
