Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club

Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club fills a converted warehouse on Union Street in Gowanus with ten regulation shuffleboard courts, tropical planting, and cabana style lounge seating built around a Florida retirement community theme. The bar runs a full kitchen and cocktail program alongside the courts, and the space splits into half and full venue buyout tiers for private groups, with staff on hand to run pro shuffleboard lessons before play starts. Past private bookings have included a corporate outing for the engineering firm Primera, alongside birthdays, team building nights, and weddings. The room mixes string lights, palm trees, and flamingo themed decor with communal picnic tables, and holds up to 500 guests at full capacity. It sits a short walk from the Union Street R stop, in the stretch of Gowanus that has filled in recent years with breweries and event spaces built out of old industrial buildings.
