Beauty & Essex sits behind a vintage pawn shop storefront on Essex Street on the Lower East Side, a Tao Group restaurant and lounge built across two floors. Guests pass through a room of curated pawn shop artifacts before reaching the main dining room, which sits under a two story chandelier, and the building includes four bookable private rooms, the Vault, the Pearl Room, the Locket Room, and the Mirror Room. Tao Group's in house events team handles AV, entertainment, and decor for bookings that range from a single private room to a full building buyout for up to 550 guests. The kitchen runs a globally influenced small plates menu, and the bar program covers both the main floor and the private rooms. The venue has hosted private dinners, receptions, and film shoots, and sits a few blocks from the Essex Street F stop in the middle of the Lower East Side's restaurant and nightlife strip.
