The Grill

The Grill occupies the landmarked Seagram Building on East 52nd Street in Midtown East, the only restaurant in New York City with landmark status of its own. Built by Major Food Group's founders as a mid century American steakhouse, the restaurant keeps two private rooms off its main dining floor: the Salon, which seats up to fifteen, and the Gallery, which seats up to twenty two. For larger private events, the restaurant connects to The Pool, the adjoining event space built inside what was originally the Four Seasons Restaurant's swimming pool room, with twenty foot ceilings, a white marble fountain and a curtain of hanging chains. Booked together, The Grill and The Pool can host up to three hundred guests for a seated dinner or six hundred fifty for a standing reception. Private events here are handled by Major Food Events, the company's dedicated events team, which has organized events for clients including Chanel, Prada, Valentino and the CFDA, and which manages bookings through its own online request system.
