The Foundry occupies a 19th century industrial building on 9th Street in Long Island City, Queens, originally used to manufacture steel varnishes and now restored as a wedding and event venue a few blocks from the Queensboro Bridge. The ground floor Main Space and its mezzanine sit alongside several distinct rooms: an ivy covered outdoor Courtyard, a skylit Greenhouse with brick walls, a rooftop Terrace with Manhattan skyline views, the more intimate Alba Room, and a newer Billiards Room for a cocktail hour or after party. A 1,500 square foot industrial kitchen is included in every rental, along with an on-site manager, doorman, and security for the twelve hour booking window. The venue tops out at 180 guests for a cocktail-style event or 125 for a seated dinner, a scale suited to weddings and smaller private parties rather than large corporate galas.
