The Heritage Society operates Houston's outdoor history museum in Sam Houston Park, a 19 acre green space downtown holding eight historic structures dating from 1823 to 1905. Its rental program covers more than a dozen distinct spaces, including the 1891 St. John Church, the columned Tea Room, the Museum Gallery, Connally Plaza with a downtown skyline backdrop, the Kellum-Noble House, the Bagby Street front patio and the outdoor Bandstand built to replicate the park's original 1900 structure. Rentals run in four hour blocks and include use of the Heritage Society's own parking lot and kitchen access for outside caterers. The venue hosts weddings, receptions, corporate functions and other private celebrations across its historic buildings and outdoor plazas, with rates that vary between weekday and weekend bookings.
