The Rice University Faculty Club occupies the Cohen House, built in 1927 on Rice's main campus, and is one of only two campus locations authorized to host weddings. The club's first floor includes five private dining rooms, a main dining room seating up to 167, a living room, an indoor terrace and an outdoor patio anchored by the Esther M. Cohen Memorial Garden. A full building rental accommodates 50 to 300 guests and includes round and rectangular tables, Chiavari chairs, linens, votive candles and a built in audio visual setup with a screen, projector, wireless microphone and surround sound. The club hosts wedding receptions, birthday parties, retirement receptions and bar and bat mitzvahs, booking only one event per day. An events team handles inquiries through a submission form, and guest parking is arranged through the club for a per car fee.
