Katami

Katami opened on West Dallas Street near River Oaks as the second Houston restaurant from chef Manabu Horiuchi and partner Yun Cheng, who built their reputation at the nearby sister restaurant Kata Robata. The menu centers on sushi, wagyu and an extensive sake list served across a main dining room and sushi counter. A Private Dining Room sits apart from the main floor behind retractable glass doors with curtains, seating up to 14 at one table or up to 16 split across two eight top tables. A second space, the Sunroom, holds up to 28 at a single long table or up to 38 in a more traditional layout, and Katami also offers a full restaurant buyout that gives a group exclusive access to the entire venue for buffet style dining or larger installations. Private event requests go through a dedicated inquiry form built specifically for parties, separate from the restaurant's standard reservation system, and staff can build custom prefixe or omakase menus around each event.
