The Astorian

The Astorian occupies the third floor of a landmark building in Houston's Washington Avenue Arts District, reworked into a 14,000 square foot event loft with 14 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows facing the downtown skyline. The design draws on 1920s Art Deco glamour and takes cues from New York's Grand Central Station, pairing industrial brick and steel with chandeliers and marble look flooring. The venue is organized into several distinct areas, including the Grand Ballroom, the SoHo Suite and the Lexington Lounge, so a wedding reception, a corporate gala and a smaller social gathering can each find a fitting room. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen and full bar support in house catering and bartending for weddings, corporate conferences, galas, cultural celebrations and private parties. The venue's own team handles event coordination and catering menus rather than leaving guests to source every vendor themselves. It has operated as a dedicated event space since 2015 and continues to book weddings and corporate events through its own online inquiry system.
