Silver Street Studios sits inside the Sawyer Yards arts campus on Edwards Street in Houston's Washington Avenue Arts District, one of five converted warehouse buildings that make up the complex. Its dedicated event hall is a 20,000 square foot open warehouse with 30 foot ceilings, a side control room and drive in access with no columns to work around, built to take festivals, galas, markets and corporate activations rather than just artist open studios. The venue publishes its maximum capacity as 1,500 guests standing or 1,000 seated and provides a downloadable floor plan for planners laying out a room. Amenities include restrooms, WiFi and climate control, with the raw shell otherwise left open for a renter's own build out. Sawyer Yards states the hall hosts an estimated 60 public and private events a year, and its past client roster includes Adidas, Williams Sonoma, The Balvenie and Texas Monthly, documented in a photo gallery on the venue's own rental page. Bookings run through a dedicated venue rental inquiry form separate from the studios' general contact channel.
